Runnies Sunglasses began with a simple yet profound idea in 2023—an idea sparked by family, inspired by movement, and driven by a vision for something greater.

Our Co-founder Taylor, inspired by his family dynamics in disability and his passion for athletics, wanted to create a practical product that people frequently use while also building a brand that represents and celebrates the inclusivity and diversity of the United Arab Emirates. Taylor and his wife Julia are proud parents to three beautiful girls, who are the heart and soul of Runnies. Julia, who holds a master’s degree in Special Education, brings a unique perspective to the brand’s story, especially as two of their daughters are blind. Their family’s journey has been one of embracing challenges, celebrating diversity, and fostering a community that values inclusion.

Beyond creating a meaningful brand, Taylor and Julia were also driven by a desire to bring their family closer together through business, enabling them to maximize family time while working toward a shared purpose.

With a background in business, manufacturing, and supply chain, Taylor knew that creating a brand with real impact would require more than just a good product—it needed a great team. 

That’s when he reached out to his longtime friend, Mash Bonigala, whose extensive experience in graphic design, web development, and supporting business startups made him the perfect partner. 

Sharing the same passion and vision, Mash joined forces with Taylor, and together they officially founded Runnies Sportswear Trading in Dubai, UAE, in 2024.
